Indiana Fun

Emily got her endowments out the weekend before she got married. On the way back from the temple we all stopped at the Olive Garden. Nothing spectacular happened at the restaurant, but we had fun! Nathanael had like 5 breadsticks and I think that is all he ate.

No, Matt doesn't always look like that...just during his good moments. (joking of course! Love you Matt!) I think he was scaring Emily.

Super Hero Desires

So Jonah is a typical boy I know. Obsessed with all things boy. So here are a few funny things he has done that will be fun for me to remember.

1. Prayer- "Thank you that we will all be Spider Man and Animal Rescuers."
2. Loves Star Wars, but in his world it is STAR BORES. My mom bought him a light saber that he thinks is great. We thought it would be fun to have him be Yoda for Halloween so we were showing him scenes from the movie with Yoda in them. After that he was imitating Yoda slowly pulling the light saber out from under his clothing and then turning the light saber on. And then the fight would begin. We were so proud....tear.... He he
3. Loves transformers and asks to watch it everyday. When we drive down the road he pretends that all cars are transformers. He also says he wants to be Bumble Bee for Halloween. We might have issues because he keeps changing his mind on his Halloween costume.

Cute Pictures

Kayla folds her arms sometimes. Its cute. I think its from watching prayer.

Jonah's shirt is usually on backwards. Hey, at least he is dressing himself.

Missy has discovered mommy's shoes!

Jonathan is 30!

Jonathan had a big birthday this year.

Jonathan's present wish list:
1. BIG plasma TV (you know...only like $800...and that's for a good deal)
2. X-Box 360 with games (only $300...)
3. Gun, more specifically a riffle. Leah INSISTS before we do that we MUST have a gun safe. (so again, big bucks)

What Jonathan got:
1. A grill (used for $120)

So how did this happen? We decided to have a party for him. Tons of people invited and Jonathan really wanted to grill burgers. So we went on a grill hunt. We got a good deal for one that was only used for like 6 months.

After all the expense of just having the party Jonathan says, "How about we just make the grill my present". My thought was, "Sweet! I didn't really want a gun or X-Box anyway". Ha

The Party

We ended up having a house full! It was fun though. Neighbors, people from work, people from church. We had to ask numerous people to bring chairs. I made Jonathan a cookies and cream ice cream cake (special request). We put 30 candles on it. People were joking (or not joking) that we were going to burn the house down.

Friends from church brought a gag gift. A little "inside joke". So here is the joke- We went to their house for dinner and played a game. The game was one of those where you watch scenes from movies on the TV. It ended up NOT working at all. First of all it wouldn't play in English so we couldn't understand it. Then it would play the same scene over and over. None of us could understand the directions. So by the end they were saying they should throw it away and were never going to play it again.

What did they give Jonathan? The game.

So there was Jonathan's birthday. Leah version. When it was all said and done I felt good about it because Jonathan said he had a great birthday this year. Not like he would say otherwise...ha!
