Please let me know if there is something else I need to know.

So I officially feel like an old lady. I am posting something about CANNING. But I'm gonna do it. I found this video that seemed to walk through the whole thing but thought maybe there was some important detail missing? If anyone has experience with this please let me know if the video is "right on" or not.

We shouldn't be allowed in public! (sometimes)

We got our pictures taken yesterday. What I can say about it: MY FAMILY HATED ME for making them do it! Kayla cried the whole time. Jonah was really good. Jonathan was smiling...until the photographer was out of the room. When it was all said and done we got some cute ones.

My friend down the street introduced me to "The Picture People". They are good. So here is how it goes:

1. Show up to appointment...late...

2. Try hard to get kids to cooperate. Kayla crying! Leah mad at herself for scheduling picture right when Kayla should be sleeping. DUMB! (Didn't think that one through)

3. Wait 20 minutes while they upload your picture to a computer so you can pick the ones you like. While waiting go to the food court (since picture place is in the mall)and order food. Kids get hamburgers (special request). Have kids acting crazy and never sitting still while eating. Then have Kayla dump over a cup of water (completely full) all over Jonathan's barely touched food. Water goes in Jonathan's lap getting jeans soaked. Leah goes and gets napkins to clean up. Leah realizes it would take tons of napkins to clean and gives up. Leah shares her food with Jonathan. Walk away from table with water on floor. Kayla crying.

4. Go back to picture place and look at picture on the computer. Have trouble finding ones we are all happy with. Jonathan thinks he has double chin, Kayla is crying, Jonah has eyes closed, Leah has hair doing funny things, etc, etc. In mean time Jonah spills chocolate milk on computer desk. Guy working there really nice about it but Leah can tell he is just being polite. Kayla crying. Guy working there says, "They turned out pretty good considering how much noise was coming out of that room!"

5. Finally find pictures and have them printed. "The Picture People" give you printed finished product BEFORE you leave. AWESOME! Guy working there accidental messes order up. Fixes order and we are DONE! Kayla crying.

6. Start walking to leave mall. Jonah spots cookies and Jonathan says he can have some. While ordering cookies Kayla trips and hits her head. SCREAMS.

7. Leah walks ahead of family trying to calm Kayla down and not be too much of a disturbance.

8. Finally get out to car and have Jonah ask if we can stop and order hamburgers. (We already did that). Mom and Dad both tell him no.

9. Kayla falls asleep on way home.

10. End result: Jonathan in bad mood, Leah in bad mood, Jonah grumpy, Kayla sleeping. We then refer to our bag full of pictures as "He** in a bag" and laugh it off cause what else can we do? Either laugh or cry.

So here they are.

Christmas 2008

Christmas Eve
We went to the Hammer's Christmas Party that night. It was tons of fun and we are SO glad we went. Here are some picture's I stole from Devon Hammer's blog. This was funny- Every year their family does a nativity play. They all randomly draw a part and you ARE what you draw. As you see here, I am Joseph and Jacob Hammer was Mary. I think Jacob makes a wonderful woman!! ha

I was Joseph, Jonathan was a Wise Man, and Jonah was a Cow.

Besides the play they had AWESOME food and a really fun game where we all ended up leaving with a gift (prob stolen from someone else..ha)

Christmas Morning

I am not sure if you can even see what this says but its too cute. My husband set up a scavenger hunt for my gifts. He wrote little poems that directed me to the next location in a very sweet way.
What can I say except- MY HUSBAND IS BETTER! he he
